Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Basketball team for their win over CWC last night.
Today: Catholic Schools Week – Celebrating Our Nation: “Red, White and Blue Jeans” High School Bowling 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. NVC 2nd Round Boys Basketball Tournament at SMH – SMH will play Summerland at 6 p.m. (dress for the game is Cowboy). Second game will follow at 7:30 p.m. between Elkhorn Valley and Santee.

**Girls on the Run of Nebraska is looking for junior coaches for this spring. Girls ages 16-18 are eligible to serve as junior coaches. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Atkeson for more information.
**Effective immediately we ask that all students stay off the gym floor at half-time and between basketball games. Students will not be allowed to ‘shoot around’ unless it is a sponsored activity by the Cardinal Booster Club. Only students playing in the competition should be ‘warming up’ before and between games. Managers may still shag balls, but must STAY OFF the playing floor. This applies to both HOME and AWAY games.
No JH/HS Band Wednesday or Thursday. With the early dismissal on Friday, JH/HS students will not have Band that day either.
Wednesday, February 2nd: Catholic Schools Week – “Celebrating Our Students”: Sweats Day.
Writing Club will meet on Wednesday, February 2 at 3:30 p.m. in Mrs. Schmeichel’s room.
Thursday, February 3rd: Catholic Schools Week – Celebrating Vocations: Uniforms. NVC (G&B) Basketball Semi-finals at North Central. St. Mary’s girls will play North Central at 5 pm.
Friday, February 4th: Catholic Schools Week – Celebrating Faculty, Staff and Volunteers: Jeans/Cardinal Pride (I Love my Catholic School shirt – if you have one). All School Mass – 8”10 a.m. Spiritual Pep Rally with Danny L from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. Separate grade school/high school activities. 11:00 a.m. dismissal.
The West Holt Medical Services Foundation will be having a free-will donation soup supper during the NVC Basketball Championships in Atkinson on February 5th. Funds will benefit the WHMS Foundation Scholarship fund, which is being used to start an endowed scholarship at Northeast to benefit local students going into healthcare.
