Congratulations to the Softball team for their win over Ponca last night.

Congratulations to the Volleyball team for their wins over Bloomfield and Wausa last night at the Bloomfield Triangular.

Congratulations to Aubrey Wohlert for placing 9th with a 54 at the Ainsworth Golf Meet yesterday.

Congratulations to the Cross Country Boys and Girls teams for both placing 1st at the Cross Country Meet in Valentine yesterday, and to Max Berg for placing 1st and Lauren Winkelbauer for placing 8th.

Today:    Cardinal Pride Day.  Bus Drill in church parking Football at Twin Loup (Taylor) – 7:00 p.m. Bus leaves at 3:30 p.m. (players dismissed at 3:10 pm).

Coach Allen will have the weight room open Saturday mornings 10 am to Noon on August 31st, September 7th, and 21st for anyone who wants to lift or test for the Cardinal Strength Club.

Saturday, August 31st:  Softball Tournament at Wisner/Pilger – 10 a.m.

Monday, September 2nd:   No school – Labor Day.

Tuesday, September 3rd:  Softball at NEN (JV/V) – 6:30 pm (players are dismissed at 1:15 pm – bus leaves at 1:30 pm).    Girls Golf at Pierce – 4:00 p.m.   Volleyball at Winside – 6:00 p.m. (bus leaves at 3:30 pm, players dismissed at 3:15 pm). 

Wednesday, September 4th:   All School Mass – 8:10 a.m.  Rosary at church – 2:25 p.m.   Softball pictures at OHS.

Avera St. Anthony’s Scrubs Camp will be held Wednesday, September 18th at Northeast Community College Campus in O’Neill. Scrubs Camp is hosted by our hospital and is an interactive careers exploration day geared at showcasing careers available in healthcare. There will be a variety of healthcare professions at this camp including Nursing, Surgery, Physical/ Occupational Therapy, Radiology, Pharmacy, Laboratory,  Respiratory Therapy, Dietary, and Support Services.  There will also be a SIM (simulation) truck, Avera Careflight helicopter, as well as representatives from colleges and Avera Careers.

If you are interested in attending Scrubs Camp this year, please pick up an application/consent form outside Mrs. Atkeson's office.  Consent forms are due by September 3. Note:  this will be held on a day when St. Mary's will NOT be having school because of a teacher inservice.
