In the 2010/2011 academic year, staff and students of St. Mary’s will be celebrating our 110th birthday with a school wide, yearlong, multi-disciplinary venture called Project 110.  Each class will have the opportunity to contribute to the project by aiming for three goals:

1.  Learn about our school's past to promote a sense of pride for today.

2.  Use the latest technology to implement these lessons about our past.

3.  Involve our Alumni to build a greater sense of family.

You will be able to follow the progress of Project 110 and see what the students are doing through a link

on our website.  There will also be a documentary video produced by a digital media class which will be shown at next year’s alumni banquet.

The point of Project 110 is not merely to focus on the past, but to use the technology of today to prepare our students for tomorrow.  While we believe the use of technology in the classroom is not the end all and be all of education, we do believe we must acquire and incorporate an appropriate blend of new technologies to enhance and improve the learning of our students. If we fail to do this we will begin to see a drop in student enrollment because students and parents will opt for schools that provide these experiences. Even if our school is better, even if our teachers are better, even if standardized test scores are higher; the perception will be that our students are missing something.  Project 110 aims to push us in the right direction, to keep us technologically relevant, while never forgetting our mission.

That being said, we are asking for your help. We are asking our alumni to contribute to our Project 110 Technology Fund Drive.

We love our school and we believe in its mission.  We are proud of our past and we are elated about our future.  We are inspired by our Savior and protected by His Mother.  We are St. Mary’s - One Hundred and Ten Years and Counting!
