Mrs. Jennie Schneider - 7th and 8th grade pre-algebra, 10th grade world history, and high school media specialist
I grew up in O’Neill, attending St. Mary’s Elementary and High School. I graduated from St. Mary’s in 1984. I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and received my bachelor of science degree in elementary education in 1988. After graduation, I returned to O’Neill and began teaching third grade at St. Mary’s. I stayed in that position for seventeen years, then moved to the high school to teach junior high. The media center position opened up in the fall of 2006 and I accepted the position and began work on my master’s degree in educational technology through UNK.
My husband, Tim, is also a St. Mary’s alum. He is assisting Mr. Allen and Darold Schneider with varsity football this year. We have three daughters. Kate is a graduate of St. Mary’s and is currently a freshman at UNK. Meg and Bridget are both SMH students—Meg is a sophomore and Bridget is a 7th grader.
My favorite author quote is one that helped me immensely during my battle with breast cancer:
“Courage is fear that has said its prayers.” ~Anne Lamott
