Mrs. Novak - 5th Grade
Bio: I teach 5th grade at St. Mary's Elementary. I grew up on a farm in the small town of Scotland, SD. I atttended Mount Marty College and graduated in 1985 with a BA in Elementary Education. I met Scott Novak (SMH '81) in college and got married and moved to O'Neill in 1985.
I have taught for 13 years in rural schools in the area, and also was the DRE at St. Patrick's for five years. This is my 8th year as the 5th grade teacher. We have three children. Sarah, a 2005 graduate of SMH and a 2009 graduate of MMC, is currently starting her second year of teaching in Alaska. Tony , a 2007 graduate of SMH, is attending college in Omaha. Zachary is an 8th grader at St. Mary's.
