Mrs. Paula Atkeson - ACT Prep, Speech, Sociology, Psychology, High School Guidance
Bio: I grew up in O’Neill and attended St. Mary’s from 1st grade through high school graduation in 1984. I have been teaching since 1989. I received a Bachelor’s Degree from Creighton University in 1988. After that, I taught English and Psychology for ten years in McCool Junction, NE. I came to St. Mary’s in 1998, and took a position as guidance counselor. It was interesting and rewarding to come back to O’Neill, and to teach in the same school that I attended as a student. During my first few years at St. Mary’s, I attended Wayne State College in the evenings and during the summer to earn a Master’s Degree in Education and Counseling. This year, I am teaching Act Prep, Sociology, Speech, and Psychology as well as counseling.
My husband, Robert, and I have four children.
